1. Overview
Tricolor e-paper technology typically includes black, white, and red (or black, white, and yellow) displays. Among these, the mainstream is the black-white-red tricolor scheme. Conventional tricolor e-paper displays usually do not support partial refresh during display, in order to reduce energy consumption, lower user development costs, and enhance user experience, we have developed a new feature that supports partial refresh for tricolor e-paper.

2. Principle
Partial refresh refers to refreshing only a part of the screen when the displayed content changes, rather than refreshing the entire screen. This technological characteristic helps reduce power consumption and extend the device's battery life. Below, I'll illustrate the process of refreshing temperature and humidity using partial refresh for both monochrome and tricolor displays.

1) Black-and-white monochrome partial update: Refresh black and white background colors first, followed by updating local temperature and humidity information.

2) Partial update of black, white, and red colors: First refresh the black-and-white-red background, then refresh the local temperature and humidity information. Please note that partial refresh is temporarily unsupported in the red areas.
