The refresh of monochrome E-paper usually usually takes 4s. During refresh, vibration will be noticed to push up the black/white pixels, followed by a multiple times of black and white, white and black alternations.

2. Three-color E-paper Refresh

The refresh of three-color E-paper usually takes 16s more. During refresh, vibration will be noticed to first push up the black/white pixels, with red or yellow pixels at the end. During black/white pixels, it is followed by a multiple times of black and white, white and black alternations. During red or yellow pixels being pushed up, the refresh takes longer than the former with vibration at higher frequency.

3. Differences between monochrome E-paper and three-color E-paper refresh

Monochrome E-paper only displays black and white pixels, with short refresh and low vibration frequency.

Three-color E-paper displays black and white and red or yellow pixels, with long refresh and high vibration frequency.
